Here on the Farm

Just thought
I would put a few photos of the critters on the farm. Some just dont have
a
catagory to be in on this site so thought I would just make one! Here you
will see
lots of chicken photos as they tend to keep us entertained daily around here!

These chicks
below are 5 days old... and today momma (a frizzle banty) took them out of
the coop. The yellow chick and the reddish chick are
from
her eggs. The black ones are from two other hens I have that are also bantys.
One is solid black...even her comb.. and the other is a silver brahma cochin
banty from what I can tell.

I think this yellow chick will be a frizzle like its momma. Its already showing signs of curling feathers.

The rooster
below( Fridgidaire ) is the dad of three of these chicks all but the yellow
one(that one has a red silkie for the dad but we dont have him anymore)

Here is
our resident Seabrite Rooster... just new this spring. He is very handsome...
he has three
seabrite girls to his own but he is still trying to snatch a few hens from
the other boys.
anyhow His name is Benny... and the girls are his jets.

We also have a younger roo... who may be staying also... he is a young ameracauna
banty... Not sure if I spelled that right...
He is blue and red.... and very striking. He has a harem consisting of two
while laced black polish hens...one I think is a standard size though and
the other is a banty...
and for the moment a red silkie hen and roo..... The roo there, being a silke,
is very submissive... although I am gonna put them up for sale. They make
a nice pair.

Haven't picked out a name for him yet..... I really was not planning on keeping
him but he is very pretty in his
coloring. So. we will have to see how he turns out temperment wise. So far
so good!

Below is my silkie hen and roo that are for sale.

These two are always together and when everyone else roosts... they sleep in the same nest box together.
Now here is Hattie showing you the newly planted whiskey barrel

And planting bushes with Daddy out front... ( notice she is holding her popsicle in one hand and a all important WORM in the other.)

Seamus- our border collie- Monte's first child

Baza- our Rhodesian Ridgeback - Kats first child

And one ear up Scooter... Hattie's dog... also a border collie.

Odo the pony in full stride... and the sun in my lens!!

Kaesi our 9 year old belgian

Shine our older Shire boy

Kaesi and Duelly ( our second and younger Shire)

A young Doe who had a fawn in our back pasture. She has hidden it since they are mowing hay all around us.

One of the many quail we see every morning
Moore to come soon!
